Recently, the Liaoning Provincial Bureau of Surveying and Mapping issued the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan for Basic Surveying and Mapping of Liaoning Province" (Draft for Comments) (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"), soliciting opinions from various municipal surveying and mapping administrative departments, relevant provincial departments, and units in the bureau system.
The "Plan" clarifies the guiding ideology, basic principles and important policies of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" for basic surveying and mapping in Liaoning Province, and also proposes six major tasks to be completed during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period for basic surveying and mapping: first, the creation of digital Liaoning geospatial structure; second, the establishment of a digital surveying and mapping results archival data management system; third, accelerating the creation of Liaoning Province's geospatial information public service platform; fourth, accelerating the promotion and application of digital urban geospatial structure creation. The fifth is to focus on improving basic surveying and mapping public service capabilities, and the sixth is to vigorously improve the level of surveying and mapping technology and equipment.
The "Plan" points out that six methods will be adopted to ensure the completion of confirmed policies and the completion of major tasks. The first is to strengthen the creation of basic surveying and mapping laws. Further strengthen and improve the establishment of the legal system for surveying and mapping, and speed up the formulation of the supporting "Liaoning Province Basic Surveying and Mapping Laws".
