The Intermediate People's Court of Wuhan City, Hubei Province heard the case of Wang XX against the Wuhan Jiangxia District Urban Management Law Enforcement Committee and the Wuhan Jiangxia District People's Government for illegal demolition, and the government appealed.

The appellant Wuhan Jiangxia District Urban Management Law Enforcement Bureau and Wuhan Jiangxia District People's Government were not satisfied with the first-instance judgment and filed an appeal. The case will be heard at Court No. 13 of Wuhan Intermediate People's Court at 9:00 on November 25, 2019.

Brief introduction to the case:

Wang xx has been operating a pig farm since 2006. The building area of the pig house is 1929.51 square meters. However, the Wuhan Jiangxia District Urban Management Law Enforcement Committee actually believed that the pig house and other buildings were illegal buildings, and on December 6, 2018, On the same day, all the buildings of Wang xx’s breeding facilities were demolished. Wang xx filed a reconsideration with the Jiangxia People’s District Government of Wuhan City. On February 28, 2019, the Xia Zhengfu Jue (2018) No. xx Administrative Reconsideration Decision was made, upholding the administrative actions of the Jiangxia District Urban Management and Law Enforcement Committee of Wuhan City.

Wang xx was dissatisfied and filed a lawsuit with the Jiangxia District People's Court of Wuhan City on March 12, 2019. The Jiangxia District People's Court issued a first-instance judgment on August 26, 2019, confirming that the forced demolitions by the Jiangxia Urban Management Law Enforcement Bureau were illegal and revoking the Xia Zhengfu Jue [2018] No. xx administrative review decision issued by the Wuhan Jiangxia District People's Government.

The Urban Management and Law Enforcement Bureau of Jiangxia District of Wuhan City and the People's Government of Jiangxia District of Wuhan City were dissatisfied with the first-instance judgment and filed an appeal.
