The Intermediate People's Court of Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province heard the second case of government information disclosure between Zhou XX and the appellant Kaiping Municipal Natural Resources Bureau.

The appellant, the Kaiping Municipal Natural Resources Bureau, was dissatisfied with the first-instance judgment and filed an appeal. This case will be heard jointly at the Sixth Tribunal of the Intermediate People’s Court of Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province at 15:00 on November 27, 2019.

Brief introduction to the case:

Zhou XX filed two disclosures of information with the Kaiping Natural Resources Bureau. After the Kaiping Natural Resources Bureau received it, the reply actually constituted a refusal to reply. Zhou XX filed an administrative lawsuit with the court. After the Jiangmen City Intermediate Court made the final judgment of (2019) Guangdong 07 Xingzhong XX, XX, the Kaiping Natural Resources Bureau responded again on April 26, 2019. However, the Kaiping Natural Resources Bureau still refused to provide public materials. Zhou XX filed a lawsuit on June 6, 2019. The People's Court of Jiangmei District, Jiangmen City issued (2019) Guangdong 0704 Xingchu No. XX and XX Administrative Judgments respectively, requiring the Kaiping Natural Resources Bureau to respond to Zhou XX's information disclosure application within 20 working days.

The Kaiping Natural Resources Bureau was dissatisfied with the first-instance judgment and filed separate appeals. The two cases are currently under trial.
